With a 4th of July theme on the new president's mind, nine year old Bella sang the National Anthem.
Nick D’Ambrosia, the freshly installed president of the North Haven Rotary Club, opened his first weekly meeting at the Breakfast Nook Restaurant on July 1st with a new twist. Due to his interest in music, and with a major patriotic holiday coming up, he asked his program chairwoman, Mary Minotti, to sing the National Anthem. Unfortunately, Mary was leaving for a family vacation the day before the meeting, so she suggested one of her young voice students at her Music Center named Bella Rapacioli.
Nine year old Bella, who just completed grade three at the Clintonville Elementary School, had recently joined First Selectman Mike Freda on stage to sing the anthem at a concert on the Town Green. Bella is the daughter of Crista Marchesseault and the grandchild of Marie and David Marchesseault of North Haven.  After her performance, D’Ambrosia presented the beaming child with a floral arrangement from Forget-Me-Not Florist, the site of the club’s annual Day of Wine & Roses to be held on September28th.
