Rotarians volunteer to prepare and serve supper at local church.

Running each year from the fall through the spring, a popular community supper is held on Friday evenings at St. John's Episcopal Church. When the North Haven Rotary Club was approached by President-Elect Debbie Volain to lend a hand, several members agreed to spend an afternoon and evening to support the local service project. The troop of volunteers prepared and served dinner to about 40 people on February 22nd, and packaged about 11 dinners "to go" for those unable to attend. The delicious array of foods on the menu included pea soup, fried chicken, roasted potatoes, string beans and carrots, followed by tasty donuts and cupcakes along with assorted beverages.

The Rotarians who  donated their time and talents included Debbie Volain, Theresa Ranciato-Viele, Donna Mae Cangiano, Brendon McCaffrey, John Costanzo, Mary Jane Mulligan, Rene Genest, George Guertin, Michael Hallahan, and Luigi Nuzzolillo. John and Nancy Graef, regular participants in their church’s program, also assisted with clean up detail after the popular event. Club President Michael Hallahan commended the group for their "hands on service to their community".
