Upcoming Historical Society events were shared with the club.

At a recent meeting of the North Haven Rotary Club which is held each Tuesday morning at the Breakfast Nook Restaurant, one of the three speakers on the busy docket had come to update the group on the latest happenings of the community’s Historical Society. The guest was Susan Iverson, a former teacher at the local high school who serves as a volunteer for the North Haven Historical Society. Her main task is to help to arrange events for the organization. With headquarters at 27 Broadway, the Historical Society is a non-profit established in 1957. The enthusiastic speaker indicated that the volunteer organization is “dedicated to the preservation of historical structures, artifacts, and documents related to the history” of the town. Iverson announced that some upcoming “things to do” included three Sunday events: Remembering the Martha Culver Library on August 18; the annual North Haven Trolley Tour on October 6; and a special offering, the Northeast Paranormal Investigations Program on October 27.
